===== DMZ Setup ===== A DMZ (De-militarized zone) is an option for our NAT Configured radios on ePMP The purpose of a DMZ is to forward port traffic to a customers router, where the router will then pass along the port traffic to the correct device on their network. Reasons to set up a DMZ include: * Double NAT error on PS4/Xbox * Most home security systems/IOT devices * Advanced networking a home user wants to do To set up a DMZ, log into the customers CPE and take the following steps: * Click on Monitor -> Network * Copy the MAC address and note the IP address of their router * It will show up as LAN * NOTE: If you see multiple devices on the LAN, they most likely have a switch or their router is not in router mode. Have them fix this accordingly for DMZ to work properly. {{:tech:dmz1.png?600|}} * Once the MAC address is copied, click on Configuration -> Network * Make sure the DMZ is enabled and type the IP address of their router * NOTE: It will be a 192.168.199.X address, other ranges will not work * The range should start on 192.168.199.2 {{:tech:dmz2.png?600|}} * To ensure the IP address handed out by our CPE does not change, go to Configure -> Network * Look for "Ethernet Interface" * Paste the MAC address of their router, set the IP to what the DMZ is set to and name is "CustomerRouter" **BE SURE TO SAVE ALL YOUR CHANGES TO THE CPE** A reboot will not be required {{:tech:dmz3.png?600|}}
