===== Paid Leave of Absence ===== ==== Paid Holidays ==== The holidays Intellipop currently observes are listed on our [[gtc:holidays|Holiday]] page. Salaried employees are paid for the day but on-call exceptions apply. Part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work less than 32 hours and temporary employees are not eligible to receive holiday pay. ==== Paid Time Off ==== Our PTO plan is designed to provide you with a paid time off benefit that can be used for any reason, such as vacation, personal time, or observance of religious holidays, personal appointments, etc. Intellipop encourages you to take your annual paid time off. PTO benefits are described in Gusto. A maximum of 10 hours of PTO can be carried forward to a new calendar year. PTO must be approved by the employee’s manager and no more than one employee can request PTO for the same date(s). Approvals are at the discretion of the manager in consideration of the company and department work requirements. Any time off requested during normal Intellipop business hours will be counted towards existing PTO. ==== Jury Duty ==== If you are a salaried employee, we will continue your salary during your active period of jury duty for up to a maximum of three working days per calendar year. All employees are allowed unpaid time off if summoned to appear in court as a witness. To qualify for jury or witness duty leave, you must submit to your team lead or director a copy of the summons to serve as soon as it is received. In addition, proof of service must be submitted to your team lead or director when your period of jury or witness duty is complete. We make no attempt to have your service on a jury postponed except where business conditions necessitate such action. === Child Bonding Leave of Absence === It is Intellipop's intent to reasonably accommodate mothers and fathers to bond with their newborn babies. One week paid time off is available to care for the employee’s child after birth, or placement for adoption or foster care. This leave can be used in conjunction with FMLA and in addition to the employee’s PTO. ==== Bereavement Leave ==== Salaried employees receive bereavement pay based upon normally scheduled hours and earnings, excluding overtime. They currently receive a maximum of three days leave with pay in the event of a death of a spouse, domestic partner (same or opposite sex), child, step-child, child of domestic partner, parent, step-parent, parent of domestic partner or spouse, grandparent, grandchild, brother/sister or legal guardian.
