ePMP Force Series
This page is for information regarding the setup, configuration and installation of ePMP Foroce Series CPE
Important POE Information
Certain radios requires certain POE's (power over Ethernet). Using the incorrect POE can damage radios and render them unusable. Be 100% certain you are using the correct POE for the radio.
ePMP Force 110 uses the 100 Mbps POE
ePMP Force 200 and 180 uses the Gigabit POE
ePMP Force 190 has it's own 10/100 Mbps POE (almost looks like the UBNT poe) but confirmed that the Gigabit POE will also work. Try to use the 10/100 Mbps POE first
IMPORTANT
You MUST do the firmware before the configuration or the configuration WILL NOT WORK
Configuration

The default IP address of a brand new radio is http://169.254.1.1
To reach the radio, do the following:
Set your IP address to 169.254.1.100 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 (figure 1)
open a command prompt and run the command (without quotes): “ping 169.254.1.1 -t”
Confirm you are able to ping the radio
Figure 1.
To ping the radio:
Open a Run Window (windows key + R) or clicking the start/windows icon in the bottom left
type “cmd” and press enter
A black command prompt will appear. Type “ping 169.254.1.1 -t”
Once you are able to ping the radio, log into the radio with an INCOGNITO WINDOW. The reason for this is a bug with the cache after pushing a firmware. You have been warned

Update the Firmware
Click on Software Update
Click on Browse
Find the current firmware (currently 3.5 NON GPS for CPE)
Click on Upgrade
The process will take several minutes. When it is done, you will see the lightbulb Icon turn orange and say “you will need to reboot for changes to take effect”
Click on reboot
Update the Configuration
When the device starts pinging again, log into http://169.254.1.1 in an incognito tab
Click on Backup/Restore
Click on Browse
Select the File for that device. This example shows an ePMP 200 Nat Configuration NOTE every type of radio will have it's own firmware. Do not use, for example, an ePMP 200 file for an ePMP 190 - it WILL create issues.
Click on Upload. You will see the “arrow” and “disk” icons in the top right turn into “Applying”.
Once “Applying” disappears, reboot the radio.
After the radio reboots it will only be accessible via https://169.254.1.1:9443 if the configuration was applied successfully.
