Policy brief & purpose

Our employee internet usage policy outlines our guidelines for using our company’s internet connection, network and equipment. We want to avoid inappropriate or illegal internet use that creates risks for our company’s legality and reputation.

We expect our employees to respect and protect our company’s equipment. “Company equipment” in this computer usage policy for employees includes company-issued phones, laptops, tablets and any other electronic equipment, and belongings to our company.

We advise our employees to lock their devices in their desks when they’re not using them. Our employees are responsible for their equipment whenever they take it out of their offices.

Social Media Policy

Blogging, “tweeting”, e-mail, texting, and other social media such as Instagram and Facebook are also subject to restrictions. You may not post any material or information that:

Personal Phone Usage Policy

We expect employees to keep personal phone usage to a minimum and not interfere with work efforts. If a personal emergency or situation comes up that needs your attention, notify a manager and keep them updated on downtime caused to personal phone usage.

We don’t want to restrict our employees’ access to their phones but we do expect our employees to exercise good judgement and remain productive at work.

Workplace Monitoring

Workplace monitoring may be conducted by the Company to ensure quality control, employee safety, security, and customer satisfaction.

Employees who regularly communicate with customers may have their telephone conversations monitored or recorded. Telephone monitoring is used to identify and correct performance problems through targeted training. Improved job performance enhances our customers' image of the Company as well as their satisfaction with our service.

Computers and other equipment furnished to employees are the property of the Company. Personal systems used for business functions access data that will remain at all times property of Intellipop. As such, computer usage and files may be monitored or accessed.
